Fact vs. Fiction
Warranty versus Guarantee
We don't agree with a warranty that protects the manufacturer with exclusions, limitations and has disclaimers. It just doesn't work for today's consumer!
Beachcomber believes that everything starts with trust. One of Beachcomber's biggest points of difference from our many industry competitors is our No Fine Print Guarantee versus the Limited Spa Warranty. We just wouldn't feel good about not looking after you. You will never hear us saying "Oh, that part is not covered in our limited warranty, sorry!". It seems to us that a limited warranty protects the manufacturer, not the customer. Our No Fine Print Guarantee protects every Beachcomber customer and we are very proud of the leadership position Beachcomber has taken in looking after our customers before and after their hot tub purchase.
Hot Tub manufacturing is a young industry and people are not always familiar with what to buy in their hot tub or what could easily break down. Beachcomber strongly recommends that you clearly read and understand all spa competitors Limited Warranty along with their exclusions, limitations and disclaimers to understand what you will have to deal with after the sale.
Beachcomber knows that the hot tub you buy should give you more than what you need; it should give you years of lasting pleasure!

How much will it cost me to run my hot tub?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions we hear from our customers. Three sided or little and no insulation versus Beachcomber 4WALL Protec insulation. If you're looking at energy savings, the amount of insulation in your hot tub is one of the biggest contributors to year round efficient running costs.
It is the main reason that Beachcomber stopped producing hot tubs with little or no foam insulation in the early 80's. During that time we went to the three wall insulation which is the industry standard today. In fact, we still recommend 3WALL insulation with the equipment under the cabinet in the manufacturing of our Beachcomber Portable models in a few specific installations. In the mid 80's during the energy crisis, Beachcomber had an even better idea and created Protec™, a new 4WALL™ insulation method. We re-engineered our equipment into an external step for more inside space allowing us the advantage of our 4WALL™ total insulation, giving you lower energy costs. We seal every nook and cranny with a special formulation of energy saving insulating foam-this includes all four sides and the bottom! This exclusive method of Protec™ combined with our PowerGuard™ Heatshield creates a vacuum seal, much like a thermos bottle, that locks in the heat for use in all seasons.
Some of our competitors claim that no insulation or a little is better than the Protec 4WALL insulation method. Would you buy a house from a contractor who recommends only a little or no insulation in your new house? Our experience as manufacturers and consumers tells us that the maximum amount of insulation achieves the lowest operation costs, and it has less impact on the environment. Besides, the insulation also gives you an added bonus- it keeps your tub at the right temperature in extreme summer heat by preventing hot tub temperature heat creeping!

What is an Ozonator?
An Ozonator versus traditional water care treatment: don't be fooled, as an ozonator is one of the most misrepresented products in a hot tub! Beachcomber's position is that an ozonator does not provide for 100% sanitization and cannot keep up with heavier bather loads for complete safety!
The ozonator has been around the spa industry for about 20 years and misrepresented by many people as an acceptable form of water sanitization treatment. An ozonator actually produces a strong ozone gas that oxidizes the water and is harmful if breathed. In conjunction with an approved water treatment program, an ozonator can work to improve water clarity but there are too many negatives long term drawbacks. For some reason our industry seems to over promise and implies that an ozonator does more that it was made to do for a spa, including disinfecting and killing bacteria, with out the use of any other sanitizer!
Every Beachcomber Hot Tub we build can accommodate an ozone generator, yet we do not personally recommend you use one. It has been our experience since 1978 that this piece of equipment doesn't stand up to the high standards of Beachcomber quality and our guarantee. Again it comes down to doing what's right. Why would we install anything in your hot tub that we wouldn't put in our own? At Beachcomber, we take your best interest to heart and we want your hot tub experience to be a safe one.

What is a Hush Pump?
Small circulation pumps versus Beachcomber's Hush Pump: the Hush Pump raises the number of gallons of water that flows through a filtration system which was critical to our goal of clean fresh hot tub water 24 hours a day!
Since 1978, Beachcomber's corporate mission in product development has always been the long-term sustainability of all our products in form, fit and function. At the heart of your hot tub's waterflow system the Hush Pump compliments the filtration system to provide clean, fresh filtered water and holds that water at the perfect temperature you select. The industry standard is to use small inexpensive circulating pumps, but Beachcomber went to our R&D department and said "Double the industry water filtration flow standard!" We wanted the best filtration circulation and the cleanest hot tub water possible, 24 hours a day.
Beachcomber's R&D gave us the exclusive Hush Pump technology that not only doubled the industry standard of waterflow, but created water filtration of five to six times the current spa industry pump water flow technology. The concept behind the Hush Pump is a collaboration of listening to our retail customers and our retail stores along with Beachcomber's desire to raise industry standards on the water cleaning of a hot tub with a very quiet pumping system. With the Hush Pump we took a stand for clear, fresh water through increased water flow and filtration. Simple effective results with good design!

Why don’t you put pillows in your hot tub?
Built-in plastic pillows versus ergonomically designed comfort: fitted, molded-plastic pillows can stain, absorb bacteria and have to be replaced in the future.
In over 27 years, Beachcomber has never sold a hot tub with fitted, molded-plastic pillow. These pillows not only stain, they absorb bacteria from your water!
It's also only a matter of time before you will need to replace them, so why would we put them in your hot tub? Pillows are great for beds and sofas but would you put one on your toilet seat? Neither would we! So we won't put one in your hot tub!" We have designed our Beachcomber Hot Tubs with a simple ergonomic structure, and comfortable seating to conform to the human body. We've even molded our acrylic into a custom neck rest right into the shape of our seats. We have a simple philosophy to our manufacturing process-don't put anything into our products that isn't in the best interest of our customers.
